Acrylic

Acrylic is a surface coating substance generated by integrating the casting process with natural minerals and acrylic. It does not involve microbes and bacteria since its large and non-porous surface is hygienic. It can be cleaned with any simple material. Joints are not visible, color does not fade, does not burn, they are UV resistant. This demonstrates strong lemon vinegar resistance, and similar acids and effects.

Moreover, without possessing homogeneous and flexible structure and joints, it is superior and much more efficient than polyester, laminate and natural stones.

In the Turkish market, the acrylic which is generally known with the name of “Corian”, today provides diversity with multiple brands of the same quality. Acrylic is divided into 2 different groups;

  • 100% Acrylic: It is a long-lasting material that is resistant to heat treatment.
  • Polyester Acrylic: This product made from polyester is a copy of acrylic. The polyester content inside it is more compared to the 100% acrylic ones. They cannot be exposed to heat treatment. Usage times are shorter than 100% acrylic ones.

It is almost impossible to detect the difference between 100% acrylic and polyester acrylic. This poses a risk such as: “Is the material you purchased the same product which was suggested to you? “Unfortunately, during meetings, many professionals display Corian, LG or Hanex, and then use polyester-based materials in applications. Please verify the technical details of the plates and the labels at their back to avoid these circumstances.
